Auburn football will face three permanent opponents under the SEC's new scheduling format. USA TODAY's Paul Myerberg predicts those three teams.

Six of Auburn's SEC opponents are in the bottom 10 of USA TODAY Sports' preseason prediction, while Auburn's other two foes, Alabama and Georgia, reside in the top three. This season's SEC slate provides a realistic way for Auburn to blow past its preseason outlook of six wins.

Although Ohio State stood as an early favorite, Auburn made a late surge down the homestretch of Womack’s recruitment in order to secure him. Womack also has personal connections to the Tigers, one of them being his sister Ma’Nia Womack currently on the softball team at Auburn, which likely played a factor in his decision.

Auburn landed a commitment from five-star class of 2026 defensive back prospect Bralan Womack Thursday. Womack announced the news live on CBS Sports HQ. Womack, the No. 15 overall prospect and No. 1 safety in the country, picked the Tigers over finalists Ohio State, Texas A&M and Florida .
