It’s not perfect, but ChatGPT Search is now my default way to find information. The most obvious question when OpenAI officially announced in July that it was launching a search engine was whether it would pose an existential threat to Google.

Most of us have learned how to enter specific terms when searching for something on Google so that it can output the desired information. However, instead of entering a structured sentence with keywords into Google, you can enter a rambling sentence into ChatGPT Search and still get great results.

ChatGPT Search wants to dethrone Google, and it comes impressively close to doing so even if it's a bit flawed and needs refinement.
