Noel Clarke lost his libel case against The Guardian on Friday, after a U.K. high court determined the publication's coverage of his sexual misconduct allegations from more than 20 women were both substantially true and in the public interest.

During Noel Clarke’s libel claim, several women, including some whose real names were not used, gave evidence at the High Court.

Philip Williams, representing the actor, said that his client was a 'casualty' of a media 'purge' following the emergence of the MeToo movement.
