Indianapolis Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson's preseason is over. Head coach Shane Steichen told reporters Thursday that Richardson will not play in Saturday's preseason contest against the Cincinnati Bengals after he lost the quarterback race to Daniel Jones.

Daniel Jones will start the 2025 season as QB1 for the Colts, but it may not be long before Anthony Richardson gets his chance.

INDIANAPOLIS — Riley Leonard will start Saturday’s preseason finale against Cincinnati for the Colts and play the entire first half, then give way to Jason Bean for the second half of the game. Indianapolis will play mostly its No. 3 and No. 4 units on both sides of the ball in an effort to preserve the health of a roster depleted by injury.
