Asus and Xbox have introduced a ROG Ally Certified program that will help players discern what will work on the upcoming handheld, and what won't.

Earlier this year, a Windows Central report stated that Microsoft had sidelined its own internal plans to build a portable Xbox gaming device in order to double down on the ROG Xbox Ally line in the short-term. However, that report also suggested that Microsoft's own ambitions were only shelved "for now".

We also got a release date: the Xbox Ally and Xbox Ally X will be released worldwide on October 16th. There's still no official price tag, though, but rumor has it that it won't come cheap.

Xbox had a massive presence at Gamescom this year, but opted to dedicate a huge booth to demoing games not on its traditional hardware, but instead the upcoming ROG Xbox Ally X. Officially announced earlier this year,

It seems that the ROG Xbox Ally X’s processor might not match the might of the MSI Claw 8 AI+, but performance might not be everything.
