The Pickett Fire in Calistoga doubled in size and, as of Friday evening, was about 3,235 acres and 7% contained, CalFire officials announced.
A wildfire that started near Calistoga on Thursday afternoon and prompted evacuation orders and warnings has grown to more than 2,000 acres, according to Cal Fire. The Pickett Fire was reported shortly before 3 p.m. near Pickett Road and had burned 2,133 acres by early Friday morning, according to Cal Fire. It was 0% contained.
