WASHINGTON (Reuters) -U.S President Donald Trump on Thursday said any California school district that does not adhere to his administration's transgender policies will not receive federal funding, but gave no other details.

The Education Department is proceeding with efforts to suspend or terminate federal funding because five districts did not sign a proposed resolution by Aug. 15.
