Democrat Teresa Dannaway and Republican Paul Childress are running for a seat left open by outgoing District 83 Republican incumbent Lanny Fite

Kwami Abdul-Bey is an election coordinator and organizer at the Arkansas Public Policy Panel. He is a former middle school social studies teacher and holds a master of public service degree from the University of Arkansas Clinton School of Public Service.

Jessie McGruder and Robert Thorne Jr. are facing off in District 35, an open seat which will be vacated by incumbent Milton Nicks Jr., who is not seeking reelection. Jessie McGruder is a public middle and high school teacher and football coach. He previously served as a police officer.

Arkansas House District 9 This is the second time that DeAnna Hodges and Diana Gonzales Worthen are facing off in District 9. They previously ran against each other in 2022, when the seat was open.

Republican Incumbent Jim Dotson of Bentonville was first elected to the Arkansas House in 2012. He won a race for state Senate in 2022. He sits on the Education, State Agencies and Governmental Affairs,

If Thurston wins his bid for treasurer, he’ll have to resign from his position as secretary of state. Before becoming secretary of state, Thurston served as commissioner of state lands for eight years starting in 2011.

Joey Carr was first elected to the Arkansas House in 2022. He’s an elementary school principal in Armorel, Arkansas, and sits on the board of the Arkansas Association of Elementary Principals. He sits on the Aging, Children and Youth, Legislative and Military Affairs Committee and the Public Transportation Committee.
