The recent rollout of ChatGPT 5.0 has left users mourning their AI companions, as the update erased countless digital relationships overnight.

OpenAI chairman and startup founder Bret Taylor is optimistic about the future of AI and its impact on productivity, even if he worries it may redefine what a computer programmer is. "You can learn from everywhere, but you have to do it from scratch," ChatGPT's Nick Turley said. "That trait tends to make someone effective at OpenAI."

One source said the maker of ChatGPT was looking at a growing its office space footprint outside of San Francisco.
