Five US officials will be present in the room with President Donald Trump at the US-Ukraine leaders' meeting in the Oval Office, while his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelenskyy will be accompanied by two senior officials.

Ahead of the meeting, Trump appeared to place the onus of ending the war on the Ukrainian leader, while emphasizing that Ukraine must give up Russian-annexed Crimea and its hopes of joining NATO — key Kremlin demands.

The European political heavyweights expected in Washington are Macron, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, Italian Premier Giorgia Meloni, Finnish President Alexander Stubb, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, and NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte.
