BART riders will no longer be able to use paper tickets as fare payment starting on Nov. 30, as the system transitions to Clipper only. Here's what you can do with any leftover tickets in your drawer.

Starting Wednesday, riders on BART are now able to use their bank cards in a new Tap and Ride fare program that removes the need to use a Clipper card when tapping into and out of the metro system.

Jason Weinstein, the director of Clipper at MTC, explained during a July 28 meeting that card clash happens when a Clipper reader detects more than one card.
