This new record demolished the network’s previous record, which was 42.06 million viewers for the 2022 Thanksgiving game between the Cowboys and Giants.

In the process, Gibbs gave himself 47 touchdowns for his career. That ties Barry Sanders for the NFL record for a player before turning 24 years old, and it's also the record for a player in his first three NFL seasons. Gibbs won't turn 24 until March, so he's pretty much certain to set new records on both those fronts.
