With one race to go in the regular season, it's now or never for the drivers vying for the final two spots in the playoffs
Twenty-five races have led to Saturday night's regular season finale at Daytona International Speedway, the final chance for drivers to snag a win and earn their way into the 2025 NASCAR Cup Series playoffs.
NASCAR and IndyCar have partnered to share the race weekend at St. Petersburg in 2026, with the Truck Series race being held on Saturday, February 28, while IndyCar will take over the street course on Sunday, March 1. This marks the first collaboration between the two forms of motorsports on a street course.

While there are no international races on the 2026 schedule, NASCAR remains committed to expanding outward into other non-US markets. In a teleconference with the media on Wednesday, NASCAR's Ben Kennedy said "we'd love to be both north of the border and south of the border in the future, and potentially beyond that at some point."

JR Motorsports driver Connor Zilisch will attempt to race at Daytona International Speedway less than two weeks after he broke his collarbone during a nasty, slip-and-fall accident in victory lane.
