After a hastily cobbled together ceasefire between Israel and Iran took hold on June 24, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu jubilantly declared that the “existential threats” of Iran’s nuclear program and ballistic missile arsenal had been destroyed.

Some experts said they believe the U.S. strikes have the potential to lead to a "fork-in-the-road" moment that could result in Tehran taking an even more dangerous path.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi dismissed criticism of Tehran's decision to suspend cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), and said his country is committed to oversight of its nuclear program.
