Florida officials have once again painted over the rainbow crosswalk near the Pulse nightclub site. Protesters added the rainbow design after Florida officials had recently repainted the crosswalk. The crosswalk honored the 49 lives lost in the 2016 nightclub shooting.

The mayor of Orlando, Fla., said that the crosswalk mural, which featured the Pride flag’s colors, was removed overnight this week. Community members protested and have, for now, repainted it.

The rainbow crosswalk honored the victims and survivors of the 2016 Pulse nightclub shooting where 49 people died.
