Pennsylvania state Treasurer Stacy Garrity announces her bid to become the GOP nominee for Pennsylvania governor in 2026.

Garrity appears to be positioning herself as the obvious Republican candidate as she attempts to straddle the line between MAGA and mainstream.

Republicans hope to mount a more competitive race next year after the Democratic incumbent cruised to victory over Doug Mastriano in 2022.
