Prosecutors within Box Elder County have filed charges against Ryan Michael Bate, the man accused of shooting three law enforcement personnel, killing two of them.

Prosecutors will pursue the death penalty against the man accused of shooting and killing two Tremonton-Garland police officers and wounding a third sheriff’s deputy and his service dog, according to court documents filed Wednesday that shed new light on the shooting.

The officers were responding to a domestic disturbance call late Sunday in a neighborhood in Tremonton, Utah, police said.
