Andrew Callahan of The Boston Herald reported on Wednesday that Dugger and Jennings are available for trade. Head coach Mike Vrabel was asked about this during an interview on 98.5 The Sports Hub before Thursday’s preseason game, and went off on Patriots reporter Scott Zolak, who happened to be interviewing him.

NFL roster cuts are quickly approaching as the preseason comes to an end later this week, and the New England Patriots are reportedly trying to unload a pair of defensive veterans.

Safety Kyle Dugger was a key part of the Patriots’ defense last season, and they even signed him to a $58 million contract. So far in training camp and preseason, his role has diminished, and there’s a good chance he could be cut, according to NFL.com’s Bobby Kownack.
