NASCAR's regular season has all come down to this. Twenty-five races have led to Saturday night's regular season finale at Daytona International Speedway, the final chance for drivers to snag a win and earn their way into the 2025 NASCAR Cup Series playoffs.

A North Carolina judge on Friday granted Legacy Motor Club a preliminary injunction blocking Rick Ware from selling his NASCAR team during a battle over one of his charters. Legacy and Rick Ware Racing agreed earlier this year that Ware would sell one of his two Cup Series charters,

The NASCAR driver revealed that 79-year-old Richard Childress is "starting to stay home a couple more times a year."

Among the visitors were NASCAR driver Joey Logano, Penske President of NASCAR Operations and Clemson alum Michael Nelson, and former Clemson cornerback Sheridan Jones, who now serves as a pit crew member.

While there are no international races on the 2026 schedule, NASCAR remains committed to expanding outward into other non-US markets. In a teleconference with the media on Wednesday, NASCAR's Ben Kennedy said "we'd love to be both north of the border and south of the border in the future, and potentially beyond that at some point."

NASCAR and IndyCar have partnered to share the race weekend at St. Petersburg in 2026, with the Truck Series race being held on Saturday, February 28, while IndyCar will take over the street course on Sunday, March 1. This marks the first collaboration between the two forms of motorsports on a street course.
