The Scottish Open has become one of the big events on the golf schedule ever since it became a partner event between the PGA Tour and the DP World Tour, as the best players from both tours come together for a chance to play some links golf in preparation for the Open Championship a week later.
The 153rd Open Championship will be contested at Royal Portrush in Portrush, Northern Ireland. It’s the second time the course has played host, first doing so in 2019 and won by Ireland’s Shane Lowry. Xander Schauffele is the defending championship, having prevailed last year at Royal Troon on the western coast of Scotland.
