World's rarest sea turtle species setting new records in Florida during 2024 nesting season

This week, the rarest sea turtle species in the world nested on Brevard County beaches! 🐢 This is a Kemp’s Ridley sea turtle, and they are critically endangered. We get a few per year if we are lucky. They nest during the day and perform a fun dance at the end when they pack the sand in over their nest.
