I believe we need to talk about what our mission has always been. While we understand that some might not see the value in the lives of many of our animals, we do. We don’t look for the perfect to help. We look for the perfectly imperfect. The animals that need extra time whether to heal physically or mentally. We look for the animals that need a permanent home because they have either behavioral or physical challenges. We look for the animals born with special needs that would otherwise be cast

BREAKING COURT NEWS!!! We finally have a legal update. We apologize for not being able to talk about this in the past several months, but due to it being in court, we just could not. We are very happy to report the charges of animal cruelty against 3 of our volunteers have been dismissed in their entirety. The presiding judge interrupted the prosecution during closing arguments telling him they did not prove their case, even making the remark that the false statement made that prompted the searc

Eeyore came to us many years ago from a shelter in Louisiana, he was pretty fearful of people. We pulled him from the shelter specifically to be a guardian and companion to our herd of sheep and goats. He stepped into that role and took it serious from day one. Over the years he has softened to us, but still keeps a very watchful eye on us at all times. He has the cutest little personality that has come out and I know I personally enjoy watching him every day. | The Devoted Barn

Incase you missed the live video I did the other night talking about our kennel, here are some facts and if you would like to help our dogs, I will also go over the many ways you can help. With the large decrease in our donations this year and last year we are behind in our kennel rent. Our landlord has agreed to not evict us if we can come up with $25,000 this week. This year to date we have brought in $74,000 in donations which is not enough to pay the bills however, we have paid around $19,00

Gary & Rhingo came to us 9 years ago from a neglect case of over 300 animals. Both Seniors, they have formed such a strong bond with Deeters, Ava's pony who is 35 years old. These are the sweetest old men you will meet ❤️ | The Devoted Barn

There is something we feel we need to address that happened yesterday. We discovered we were entered into a contest with the prize, being a bunch of dog food and treats. Something our dogs need and would enjoy. As soon as we discovered it and posted it, we realize that the vile group of haters have already discovered it and flooded the contest organizers with nasty messages that included a bunch of untruth about our rescue and our founder. This proving that this nasty group does not care about t

As all of you know, Melissa takes videos from the farm animal area almost daily. There is no abandonment, abuse or neglect. We believe these charges to be unfounded. An attorney is involved. **sensitive video** The following is a video of the day animal control took our farm animals. Thank you for your continued support. We fully comprehend that this battle is not about the animals, but something much bigger. Please keep our animals, Melissa and our barn family in your prayers as we make our way

Holy bananas! 🍌 We’re all doing the happy dance over here—like a bunch of caffeinated squirrels! 🐿️💃 Guess what? We just pulled off our second match this weekend! Who knew we had such matchmaking skills? You all are amazing—seriously, you deserve a medal (or at least a cookie)! 🍪 Our dog house pals are so excited, they're barking like crazy! 🐕 But let’s not stop the party just yet. We need to keep this feel-good train rolling, folks! Choo choo! 🚂 So let’s keep those donations coming like t

If truly is a privilege and honor to be one of Marvin's trusted few. We can't even begin to imagine what he faced while in the now illegal dog meat trade but watching him go from the most shut down and fearful dog we've had has been so rewarding . Watching years of being tortured melt away as he learned to trust even just a few people. He still isn't comfortable with human touch and that ok. He lives in peace with fear and that's all that matters. | The Devoted Barn

We can learn a lot from animals 💚 When Bonnie came to The Gentle Barn she immediately took on the role of matriarch, creating a balanced dynamic with our herd. Bonnie watched over her family as they slept, settled arguments, kept the peace, and made sure to groom every member of her herd. We miss her deeply, but she left us with an important message: lead with love, be courageous, follow your intuition, and embrace your feminine energy. She will forever remain in our hearts. Being a devoted grandparent isn’t a title you give yourself, it’s something your family gets to experience, how you show up, how you respect their parenting, how you react when you hear no, that’s where the real answer is 🥰🥰🥰 #devotedgranny #grandparentsoftiktok #parents #supportiveparents #generationaltrauma
