This World War II film (The Unknown Soldier) follows a machine gun company (Finnish: konekiväärikomppania) during the Continuation War between Finland and the Soviet Union from 1941 to 1944. When Finland first encountered T-34-76 tanks during the assault phase of 1941 they were seen as almost invulnerable to Finnish anti-tank rifles and guns, the best and most effective way of dealing with them was with land mines and satchel charges.
