Wildlife SOS recently rescued a baby Rhesus macaque who lost his mother to childbirth. Lacking the skills and emotional support to survive in this harrowing world, the baby monkey was in a precarious situation. Our care team provided him with a support toy to hold on to and bottle-fed him milk formula at regular intervals. Police have arrested two men, aged 24 and 28, to assist in the investigation into the abuse of a macaque, which went viral on social media last week. Bachok police chief Supt Mohamad Ismail Jamaludin said the men, aged 24 and 28, were detained at the Bachok Police Headquarters at 10pm on Friday (Nov 14) when they turned up to record their statements.
