Ever wondered how we store the seagrass seeds used in our restoration work? Here's a hint: they like it cold, dark and salty! 🌱 After we collect our seagrass seeds in late summer, they are transferred to our National Seagrass Nursery, where they undergo a process called mulching, which allows us to gently separate out the seeds. These seeds are then kept in the dark, at around 3 degrees and 45 ppt salinity. This means the seeds won't germinate until we remove them, which allows us to plant seag
